• PRIMROSE PLANTS - Primrose are hardy outdoor low maintenance perennial plants, botanically known as Primula. These hassle free plants create a blaze of long lasting colour during the cold, wet and even snow of the gloomiest Winter days. These attractive flowers can grow to a height of 20cm and can continue blooming through the Spring and into Summer in cooler UK climates.
• MATURE PLANTS - These plants are supplied in trays of 6 mature plants and can be planted straight away into garden beds and borders or in patio pots and containers. Primula have a delicate scent and their pollen attracts pollinating insects including bees and butterflies. Once established these easy to grow perennials will virtually look after themselves.
• GROWING CONDITIONS - Primrose plants are best grown in full sunlight to partial shade in moist well draining soil. They look great planted in cottage style gardens, wildlife gardens and alpine rockery gardens. When planting in containers or pots, use a multi purpose peat free compost with added grit or perlite.
• ONGOING CARE - It's important for Primroses to be water well in drier weather and deadheaded to prolong flowering period. When watering, try to direct the water towards the base of the plant and avoid getting water on the leaves. Do not let the plants sit in standing water, as this can lead to root rot.
