Product description

  • LAVATERA PASTEL MIX SEEDS: Large, silky flowers in pastel shades cover bushy plants. Ideal for colourful beds and borders. Exotic looking flowers that are quick and easy to raise.
  • SOW: March to May, FLOWERS: June to October, HEIGHT: 90cm, PREFERS: Full Sun, SEEDS: 75 Approx.
  • FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN – March to April. WHERE – In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 18-20C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
  • CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Then transplant 25cm apart in flowering position. FLOWERS – June to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering.
  • FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN – March to May. WHERE – In a prepared seed bed in flowering position. HOW - Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. CARE - When large enough thin to 5cm apart. After 2-3 weeks thin to 25cm apart. FLOWERS – June to October
