Product description

  • VIOLA SWEETIES SEEDS: Petite plants smothered in dainty bicolour blooms. Spectacular in baskets, pots and tubs. Can be grown as annuals, biennials or short-lived perennials.
  • SOW: February to July, FLOWERS: October to July, HEIGHT: 10cm, PREFERS: Full Sun, SEEDS: 30 Approx.
  • FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN - February to March. WHERE – In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly. Cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at 15-20°C.
  • CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear in 14-28 days. When large enough, transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 15cm apart in flowering position. FLOWERS – October to July, often longer. Flowering may stop in the harshest winter weather.
  • FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN - April to July. Where In containers or a prepared seed bed in flowering position. HOW - Sow thinly into large pots or in rows 20cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. CARE - When large enough thin to 15cm apart. FLOWERS – October to July, often longer.
