- ASTER COLOUR CARPET MIX SEEDS: Double flowers that smother the low growing, compact plants in colour. A wonderful choice for late summer colour in containers and bedding displays.
- SOW: February to May, FLOWERS: July to October, HEIGHT: 20cm, PREFERS: Full Sun, SEEDS: 250 Approx.
- FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN – February to April. WHERE – In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20C. Seedlings appear 14-21 days. CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 20cm apart in flowering position. FLOWERS – July to October.
- FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN – April to May. WHERE – In a prepared seed bed in flowering position. HOW - Sow thinly in rows 25cm apart. Cover with 0.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. CARE - When large enough thin to 20cm apart. Keep moist and weed free. FLOWERS – July to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering.
