Product description

  • Bermudagrass(Cynodon Dactylon) is a robust warm-season grass, perfect for anyone who wants an evergreen lawn even in hot, sunny areas. With its medium-coarse texture and deep summer green, it creates a natural, uniform appearance that withstands temperatures above 40 °C, long droughts and heavy foot traffic. The species is also tolerant of salinity, making it ideal for lawns in coastal regions. Stolons and rhizomes spread quickly, filling bare spots while needing up to 30-50 % less water than traditional lawns.
  • Coating the seed with CaCO3 protects it from adverse conditions such as drought or nutrient deficiency by providing a temporary barrier that helps the seed retain the moisture required for germination. CaCO3 gradually releases calcium into the surrounding soil, helping to balance soil pH.
  • Easy to grow – the optimal sowing window runs from April to September, when soil temperature is at least 16-18 °C. Sow at 10-15 g/m2 (up to 20 g/m2 for late sowings or on previously unsown soil). Broadcast the seed, cover it to about 0.5 cm, lightly roll or rake and keep the soil constantly moist until germination (10-14 days).
  • Make the first mow when the grass reaches 3.5-5 cm (≈ 3-4 weeks after emergence) and thereafter maintain it at 2-4 cm. Fertilise at sowing with a phosphorus-rich starter product, in summer with a nitrogen-rich fertiliser (20-0-12) and in autumn with a potassium-rich fertiliser (6-0-28) to strengthen the lawn before winter.
  • During cold months Bermudagrass goes dormant and turns straw-coloured, greening up naturally again in spring. To close bare areas, overseed at 5-10 g/m2 in late spring.
  • Warnings : keep the soil constantly moist during germination and avoid waterlogging. Store in a cool, dry, dark place, out of reach of children under 3 years.
