• OYSTER PLANT- The Oyster plant, botanically known as the Tradescantia spathacea, is a unique real live evergreen houseplant with attractive elongated green leaves with a purple underside. This fast growing low maintenance indoor plant is different from other Tradescantias as it has an upright growing habit, rather than trailing.
• AIR PURIFYING - This Southern Mexico, Belize and Guatemala native houseplant will add a tropical touch to any interior décor providing air purifying properties through its leaves. This humidity loving plant is perfect for displaying in a kitchen or bathroom and can grow to a height of 30cm.
• SUNLIGHT - This Tradescantia grows best in a spot where it gets bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can lead to leaf scorch. Too much low light conditions can cause the growth to be very leggy and can reduce the attractive purple tones.
• WATERING - This easy to grow indoor plant isn’t too demanding making it perfect for beginners and only requires watering when the top couple of inches of soil are dry to the touch. Water liberally from Spring to Autumn and reduce throughout the colder months. Giving the leaves a misting occasionally will also help increase its humidity levels.
