Product description

  • Gladioli Summer Flowering Bulbs - Gladiolus, often known as gladioli and sword lily, are tall, upright summer flowering shrubs that produce striking flower spikes in late June. These statement plants can grow between 100 and 120 cm tall, with their attractive flowers adding bold colours and interest.
  • When & How to Plant - It's best to plant gladioli corms in spring, around late March to the middle of April, in fertile, well draining soil. Position them at least 10–15 cm deep and 15 cm apart, with the pointed tip facing upwards. Water well after planting.
  • Sun Loving & Reliable - Gladioli are best grown in full sunlight, though they tolerate some light shade. While growing, keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Taller stems may need staking; inserting canes at planting time helps avoid root disturbance.
  • Perfect for Borders, Pots & Cutting - These herbaceous perennials attract bees and butterflies and are ideal for flower beds, borders and patio containers. They look stunning mixed with dahlias and lilies and make excellent long lasting cut flowers for indoor arrangements.
