• SAVE THE BEES...Spring and Autumn are the best time to scatter seed balls for wildflowers next summer. During winter, the cold helps support strong growth, maximising the chances of a beautiful and buzzing wildflower display next year. If scattering in Spring we recommend popping the seed balls in the fridge for a couple of weeks first to give them a little cold blast – this aids germination.
• RED POPPY SEEDBALLS... This seeball boxes are bursting with common poppy seeds. This famously bright red flowering annual is a hugely popular native wildflower and fantastic for pollinators and garden birds alike. A stunning addition to any wildflower garden, poppies are also a big favourite of ours for window boxes or for other small growing spaces.
• REMEMBRANCE WILDFLOWER.. The red poppy is best associated with remembrance as it is one of the first wildflowers to colonise disturbed ground, or fallow cornfields. It became identified with the battle zones of the First World War, which were originally corn fields. Flowering between May-July it typically grows between 30-60cm tall.
• WILDFLOWER SEED BOMBS... Our seed balls are super simple to use, there’s no need for gardening expertise or even a shovel! Simply throw your seed bombs onto the soil, compost, garden bed or planter and ensure to leave at least 10cm between each ball. One box will cover 1-2 pots. Use 3 boxes per half square metre in a garden.
• SEEDBALL SEED BOMB MIX... Chilli powder and clay are added to our wildflower seeds to keep snails, slugs, and birds away. The compost that holds each seed bomb together is also peat-free, helping nourish the plant. Simply scatter the plant seeds on soil and nature will do the rest!
