Crafted from heavy-duty Cast Iron is this tawa with concave centre and handle, ideal for you to prepare cook heat up batter based foods, indian flatbreads or even authentic foods i.e. dosa, crepes, pancakes, chapati, roti, paratha, uttapam, omelette & more!
- Dimensions of this Cast Iron Tawa Pan are - Diameter 25.5cm and Length (including handles) 43cm.
- GUIDANCE & PREPARATION - This Cast Iron Tawa Pan is entirely handmade from traditional pure cast iron, therefore the surface will not be completely smooth & may contain marks bumps. To attain optimum use of this pan, it should be prepared & seasoned before use (See Description on How to Prepare, Season & Clean). The surface does have an oil coating to protect the material as it is pure cast iron. Following the preparation tips, this oil coating will get removed and it will be ready to use.
- CONCAVE TAWA Traditional tawa moulded into a concave shape, where it has a slightly deep centre to allow you to cook in many different ways. Combination of both features shall quickly spread heat and circulate evenly, so that flatbreads are always cooked all the way round, but you can also add small quantity oil to the centre and cook classic indian street tawa foods i.e. pulao, pau bhaji, chicken & more.
- HEAVY-DUTY CAST IRON Heavy-duty cast iron tawa pan crafted to swiftly cook food. Cast iron has heat conductive properties to give even heat distribution & retention when on the hob stove-top. The more you season the cast iron surface, the easier it will be to work with this pan. Handles are moulded within the pan structure, so you will not have to worry about them becoming loose or food residue being stuck.
