Product description

  • Ceratopteris thalicrodes in small open aquariums it can grow out of the aquarium and forms beautiful surface leaves. In good light Ceratopteris grows fast and helps prevent algae by consuming large amounts of nutrients.
  • Lighting: Bright/Medium -- potted strands --- Temperature: 22-28 degrees C
  • PH: 5-9 -- Height: Up to 50cm --- Native: North Australia --- Grwoth rate: FAST -- CO2: 10-20mg/l
  • Some plants red in particular require VERY BRIGHT lighting – aquarium lighting is graded as follows: Under 500 lux = LOW / 500 – 1000 lux = MEDIUM / 1000 – 1500 lux = BRIGHT / 1500+ lux = VERY BRIGHT
  • Rinse the plants in clean water. Trim back old brown roots/stems to healthy white tissue with a sharp knife. Remove any decaying or yellow leaves. Gently push the root stock/strands into the substrate with your fingers and firming with gravel. Root cuttings can be wrapped together to produce natural looking clumps.
