Ficus Brown Turkey Hardy Potted Outdoor Fig Fruit Tree (20-30cm Incl. Pot)

Product description

• Latin Name: Ficus Carica Brown Turkey
• Common Name: Common Fig
• Characteristics: The Ficus Brown Turkey is a deciduous shrub with a bushy habit. The leaves form in a lobe shape and are joined by edible fruit over time. The Common Fig, as its more commonly known, will usually produce fruit once a year, unless temperatures soar which could see fruit appear for a second time. Autumn is when you are most likely to witness the fruit which, at first will be green, but turn purple when ripe.
• Plant Advice: You should place the Common Fig in full sun or partial shade to give the plant the best chance to thrive. Then, the watering process can be done on a frequent basis as you establish the plant in its new surroundings, and less-so after it settles in. However, during hot and dry periods of the year, Ficus Brown Turkey should be watered quite regularly.

Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants lose their leaves to conserve water or to better survive winter weather conditions. New foliage will grow again during the next suitable growing season.
