• WATER-BASED & NON-TOXIC Our Rainbow Barn Paint range is water-based and non-toxic with a matte finish. Being water-based makes these garden paints easy to apply and easier to clean from brushes, while also being more environmentally friendly compared to other paints. With no primer or undercoat needed, outdoor painting has never been easier, especially as you can apply this paint to previously painted surfaces- even those coated with weathered bitumen sealants, tar, varnish, or creosote.
• ACRYLIC COATING With a tough and durable acrylic coating, this thick, chalk-based formula can flex with the substrate to reduce chances of flaking or cracking.
• RESTORE & PROTECT Protect your shed or barn exterior from environmental elements, including UV rays, cracking, flaking, mould, rot, and algae build-up. With anti-mould additives, this garden paint keeps moisture out to protect against damp mildew that is caused by dampness of nearby planting. Revive wooden exteriors with these paints that provide U.V ray protection to fight off sun damage and colour fading.
• WATER-REPELLENT Water-repellent wax additives prevents water seeping through the layers that would otherwise cause internal dampness and rotting.
• HOW TO USE First use a large brush to remove dirt, dust, and debris from wooden surfaces. Next, thoroughly stir the paint to evenly mix the pigment before either spraying the paint onto surfaces, or using a short pile roller or large brush to apply an even first coat. Allow approx. 1 hour until dry before applying a second coat and leaving for another hour before deciding on a third coat. It is not recommended that you paint in temperatures below ten degrees Celsius, or thirty degrees Celsius.
