• Forestone reeds for all saxophones and clarinets come in 1/2 strengths from 1 - 5.
• They have the functional properties of cane but are consistent, do not degrade with use, and are not subject to fluctuations in temperature, humidity, altitude or other factors.
• Forestone reeds are made from a special composite material: a mixture of polypropylene resin and cellulose wood fiber, more than 50 percent of which is bamboo.
• This material is odorless, non-toxic, and recyclable, and when formed into a single reed, possesses exceptional sound, resilience, and flexibility.
