Product description
- This adapter cable allows you to connect a printer equipped only with Centronics interface to the USB port of a computer or notebook.
- Since today's PCs usually do not have a parallel Centronics port any more, the adapter is ideally suited for the operation of aging printers.
- The Centronics cable has a USB type A connector and a 36-pin Centronics connector - it offers a transfer speed of 1.2 MB/s and is backward compatible to the USB standard 1.1.
- Since a parallel Centronics interface only supports a data transfer rate of 150 KBit/s by default, printing is also faster on PCs with a parallel interface via the adapter.
- The USB-to-Parallel cable supports Plug&Play and can be connected during operation - under Windows, the cable is recognized immediately after connection.
