• This grain mill uses materials that will last a lifetime. Cold rolled steel for the rollers, aluminium for the body, stainless steel for the hopper and oil dipped brass for the bushings.
• This grain mill can professionally grind barley, wheat and other grains. It is equipped with 2 adjustable milling rollers that grind the grains well and perfectly hull them, thus facilitating the brewing of beer later on. The main advantage of the double roller design is better grain adsorption and increased production.
• This type of equipment is ideally suited for large batches and efficient milling. With two rollers, all grain will be crushed twice in one cycle. The crushing is done through a fixed gap between the top two rollers. The first pass flattens the grain slightly in preparation for the next pass, which breaks up the grain and loosens the starch while minimising hull damage.
• The hopper holds up to 11 lbs of grain and the rolls are constructed of an alloy block frame with three steel rolls mounted on oil-impregnated bronze bushings. The drive shaft and all shafts are integral with the rollers so they can be driven either clockwise or counterclockwise.
• The mill is fitted with a hand crank, but can easily be motorised using a corded electric drill. You don't need any additional attachments, just attach the electric drill and go. The stainless steel knurled knob allows for a gap adjustment range of 0.070 inches. Adjustment is as simple as loosening the adjustment screw, adjusting the gap, and then tightening the adjustment screw.
