- Connected to the mains water supply the boiler filling loop is used to "top up" the central heating water pressure following maintenance or in the event of pressure drop
- A filling loop valve should be disconnected from the boiler when not in use to comply with local water regulations by preventing contaminated water from backflowing into the water mains
