- 3. Inside the butter crock, there s a water level line. This line denotes the quantity of water to be added. Ensure that the surface of the butter makes contact with the water surface, so that a seal is formed while preventing water overflow.
- 4. How to use this butter crock Pour cold water into the bottom of the crock up to the water line. Fill the lid with soft butter and firmly press it against the sides of the lid, then, put the lid onto the crock. Remember, the lid must be dry before using, and the water should be cold enough. Avoid adding new butter to the existing butter, as this may cause the new butter to drop into the water. It is advisable to refresh the water every 2-3 days.
