- A heavy duty black iron karahi (deep cooking pot) designed to make cooking easier.Iron material and curved base are the key features which will make this is your favourite pot in your kitchen.You don't just have to use this karahi to cook food, you can also use it to heat up tasty dishes such as a curry or even stir fry.
- This black iron kadai is made from traditional pure iron and DOES NOT have ANY NON-STICK COATING.You will have to season the karahi prior using it.This kadai is entirely handmade therefore, the surface will not be completely smooth and may contain marks or bumps.
- This iron karahi is also great as it can take high heat, it will cook food evenly and consistently without hot spots or burning your food.A deep centre makes this pan versatile and will allow you to cook, fry or even pre-heat numerous tasty dishes such as a indian curries, indo-chinese chilli paneer or a chinese style stir fry.
- SEASON INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR USING- To season your iron karahi quickly, first, wash it with hot water and mild soap to remove any dirt or residue. Dry it thoroughly to eliminate all moisture. Next, coat the entire karahi with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Heat the pan under medium flame for 5 mins. Let the pan cool down completely.Again apply a coating with cooking oil all over the pan using soft dry cloth or paper towel and store it in a dry place.Repeat the process for 3-4 times before you start cooking in it.. After each use, wash with hot water, avoid harsh detergents, and apply a bit of oil to maintain the seasoning. Regular use will enhance its non-stick properties over time.
