- HOW TO PROPERLY SECURE THE SPLITFLASK LID It is important to properly align the Splitflask lid in order to prevent mixing of both sides, leaking and inprove temperature retention. Step 1 Align the Lid Make sure the center gasket of the lid lines up perfectly with the center wall of the Splitflask. Step 2 Position the Straw Place the straw side of the lid to the right of the Splitflask logo. Step 3 Twist to Secure Twist the lid clockwise until the straw is aligned directly with the logo. This ensures a perfect seal.
