- 2 measuring modes and holding function This moisture detector has a wood measuring mode and a building measurement mode. The wood mode has 9 calibrated scales for measuring different types of wood. For reference, 9 types of wood are printed on the back of the detector. In building material moisture measurement mode, wall panels, plasterboard, concrete, etc. can be measured. The current reading can be held on the display by briefly pressing the HOLD button.
- Self-test Function Steps to self-test function turn on the instrument and select the pins mode. Select the 2 calibration scale as the wood measurement type. Take off the protective cap and hold the pins to the metal contacts on the back of the protective cap. If the reading is between 16.6% and 20.6%, the device is functional. After 300 seconds of inactivity after the last measurement or the last press of a button, the meter will automatically turn off.
- Buzzer prompt and large measuring range The moisture meter for sawn wood automatically emits an alarm with buzzer prompt and displays the readings quickly. Building function when the water content exceeds 20%, the buzzer beeps continuously. Wood function when the water content exceeds 16%, the buzzer beeps continuously. Huepar Digital Moisture Detector provides a wide range of measurement range wood range 6-60%; construction range 0-33%.
