- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS With a manual and accessories in the package, and you can choose to install motorized curtains inside or outside the window frame. For inside installation, the window depth should be at least 3", the length should be no more than 72", and the window width should be more than or equal to the order width (note the actual width of the shades is 0.5" less than the order width). For outside installation, the shades should be larger than the window size, to provide shade.
