- wonderful and very long blooming (4 months) ground cover plant with masses of silvery, velvet-textured leaves that stay crisp and look fresh all season and purple flowers arranged in spikes. It is drought tolerant enough for a rock garden setting, and it is also a good choice for growing in hot, humid summers where some plants can lose their form. The silvery foliage offers a cool accent for the bright greens and colours of the summer garden.
- It is perennial that does well in full sun to partial shade and in well-drained soil.
- Sow in late summer late autumn or in late winter late Spring. Sow at temperatures of 18 to 20 C (65 to 70 F), use a well drained soil and just cover with a thin layer of compost or vermiculite as the seeds need light to germinate. Hardy to Zone 4 to 10. Evergreen
