- This is the original double string cheese slicer that 1.986" Denmark was invented by a family business that believes hand-cut cheese simply tastes better, and although the design has been slightly adapted to bring it up to date, it remains true to its classic look. Made of stainless steel with a polypropylene handle, it produces both thick and thin slices, can handle most types of solid and semi-solid cheeses including cheddar, gouda and emmental, and is easy to clean.
