- QUALITY Binchotan charcoal is not designated as Japanese cultural heritage for nothing. Its production process is entirely safe and natural, unlike activated charcoals from other countries, which are mostly activated using chemical solvents. Here, our binchotan charcoal is slowly cooked for several days at low temperature before being naturally activated using high-temperature steam (1000 C).
- USAGE Remember to boil the binchotan charcoal every 3 to 4 weeks for about ten minutes to clean and reactivate it. One piece of binchotan charcoal can purify a water carafe for approximately 6 months. You can also place it in your coffee maker's reservoir to enhance the taste of your coffee.
