- OVERHEATING PROTECTION The optimum operating temperature for the fan is 65 C - 250 C, not exceeding 350 C. There is a bimetallic safety device underneath the base of the fireplace fan, in the event of high temperatures, this wood-burning fan automatically flexes, with the edges of the fan lifting slightly to protect the fan from overheating. When the temperature drops, the fan automatically returns to normal.
