  • Ceanothus 'Repens', also known as the creeping blue blossom, are lush evergreen ornamental trees which display ovate, glossy green leaves accompanied by light blue flowers in terminal clusters. The trees have a dense and bushy habit, so are ideal to position in small gardens, patios, borders or mixed containers.
  • Plant Ceanothus trees during either the Spring or Autumn seasons with moist, well-drained soil - preferable loam, clay or sand-based soils. The tree will have the best opportunity to thrive and develop in sunny but sheltered areas. Peak flourishing time for the 'Repens' is through the Summer months and the flowers will be sweetly fragrant, attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinating wildlife to your garden.
  • The 'Repens' Tree requires little maintenance due to their hardy and compact structure. To achieve the most colourful foliage, prune back the branch tips annually by around 15cm towards the later stage of flourishing season to encourage fresh, variegated growth for the following season.
  • Ceanothus trees are valued all year round for their stunning display of vibrant coloured leaves and foliage. Emerging in Spring with maturing shades green with little hints of blue and white, giving it a fresh look for you garden. As the tree progresses through the Summer months, the beautiful light dark blue colours will begin to dominate the tree - making it very pleasing to the eye.
