Product description

  • The Faithfull Piercing Saw, often called a jeweller s saw, It is precision made for a specific use. and not for general use.
  • It is fitted with an extremely fine blade and is specifically designed for cutting thin sheet metal up to 1mm thick such as aluminium, copper, brass, gold and silver.
  • The top screw is for getting the length of the frame right to suit the blade. It is not for tensioning the blade.
  • You can tension the blade by fixing the handle end first then as you would use a junior hacksaw put the other end against a bench and close the gap up between the two clamps by 1-2mm then tighten the blade to the other clamp so that when you let go the frame will tension the blade
  • The steel frame is adjustable to accommodate different blade lengths allowing broken blades to be re-used. A lubricant such as beeswax can be used for smooth cutting performance.
  • Depth of Bow 70mm Blade Length 130mm
