- PLANTING POSITION - Gladioli Byzantinus bulbs are perfect for adding vertical colour to flower beds, garden borders, or naturalised areas. They also perform well in large containers and make excellent companions to other cottage garden plants, grasses, and perennials. Their elegant spikes also make beautiful cut flowers.
- HOW TO PLANT GLADIOLI - Plant Gladiolus Byzantinus bulbs in Autumn to early Spring in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny position. Space bulbs approximately 10cm apart and 8-10cm deep. After planting, water thoroughly and add organic matter or mulch to improve soil structure. Once established, these bulbs require little maintenance and will naturalise over time, forming attractive, floriferous clumps.
- EASY TO STORE - If you are not ready to plant the bulbs now, then store them in a cool, dry, frost free, well ventilated location. A garage, shed, loft or cupboard are ideal. Open the paper bag to allow air to circulate round but leave the bulbs in their bags until ready to plant.
