Product description

  • FRUIT TREE GEASE This fruit tree grease (200g) A brush-on monitoring trap for winter moths on fruit trees. The tree trunk is the main thoroughfare for many pest attacks, but fruit and other trees can be protected with Fruit Tree Grease. Can be used on pots or trees to stop crawling insects climbing. Apply in autumn (September October) and renew in February
  • EFFECTIVE PEST CONTROL Provides a simple and effective means of monitoring pest activity. A complete barrier must be formed for the grease to be effective. It is ideal for fruit trees to stop winter moths.
  • INSECT MONITOR TRAP Containing hydrogenated rapeseed oil, Fruit Tree Grease stops pests such as the Winter Moth and the Mottled Umber Moth which invade fruit trees from late October to early December. It also protects against the March Moth which invades early spring.
  • EASY TO USE For fruit tree grease to be fully effective a complete barrier must be formed. Choose a suitable position on the trunk at least 45cm (18 ) above ground level but below the lowest branch and remove any loose bark. Using a stiff brush or spatula, form a ring approximately 10cm (4 ) wide around the girth of the tree making sure that the tree grease is worked into any cracks or crevices. Replenish if necessary to maintain stickiness.
  • NOTE Choose a different position each year for the ring of grease. If applying to young trees, apply the grease to a paper band wrapped tightly around the trunk. Store in cool, well ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed, keep away from direct sunlight, keep at temperatures between 15 C and 40 C.
